Design Inspired Diapering! Let’s face it, I’ll never own an authentic Prada anything (except maybe their Infusion d’Iris perfume)! I CAN, however, afford a Grovia shell in bicycle print!

Before I forget, I will be posting soon about the “babymoon” we took in October 2012.

It was completely awesome!  I want to thank my husband for funding this (ad)venture and supporting my 5 month pregnant self throughout the journey.

We went to the UK, Scotland, France, and Switzerland!  It was a trip of a lifetime, and I do hope we can go again someday!

10 Month Hiatus Update

Hello to anyone who is still following my blog!

I’m sorry I’ve been gone, and I’m sorry to those hoping to win the Kissaluvs fitted I had posted for a giveaway.  I’ve since had to sell it, but hopefully will have another giveaway soon to make up for it.  Here’s what’s been going on with me:

1) Got pregnant!

2) Delivered 5 weeks early.

3) Had a beautiful baby girl, who has been diagnosed with Pierre Robin Sequence and is fed mostly through a gtube currently.

4) Going strong with cloth diapering, with some disposables mixed in.

I will be making multiple posts (hopefully shortly) about the above events, and will continue to blog mostly about cloth diapering and the health of our beautiful baby “A.”

Another Sorry Blog-o-sphere…

My friend had to go to the ER today and my husband and I were taking care of her kids so I have not had a chance to pick a winner.  I will do this ASAP tomorrow ISA (God Willing).  Thank you all for your entries and I’ll try to reply to each one of you tomorrow as well.  Thanks!  I think you all have made my first giveaway a HUGE success!!! 🙂

Sorry I’ve been away

I’ve been traveling, and just simply approving posts, so sorry to anyone if I haven’t responded.  I’ll respond to all the entries I’ve received from the giveaway, and thank you all for your support.  I did reblog a recipe today, so be sure to check that out.  And rest assured I’ll be back to blogging soon!!! 🙂

MWF Seeking BFF Author Shares 3 Tips for Building Your Blog Audience

Rachel Bertsche, author of MWF Seeking BFF: My Yearlong Search for a New Best Friend, posted some excellent tips for new bloggers.  I, being a new blogger, wanted to keep the advice for myself as well as share it with others, so I’ve posted the link below:

Bestselling Author Shares 3 Tips for Building Your Blog Audience.

There are 490 replies to her post, but the post is closed to further comments.  I am therefore posting the comments I would have posted – here.

The advice from Rachel that I’m working on as of this moment is to read and comment on other blogger’s blogs.  This actually kind of reminded me of many homework assignments where we are supposed to post a response to a question that a teacher posted on our WebCT/Blackboard/whatever you call the online forum for courses.

The key for a good grade was to post MEANINGFUL responses, not just regurgitate the question and a simplistic answer.

Blogging is a conversation.  It’s a conversation I would have with my closest friends, except I don’t really know any of you yet.  It may feel a little one sided at times, but it’s easy to recognize that any human being would want and DESERVES a meaningful response to a question.  People have taken the time to write intelligent, involved, inspiring, insightful content for you, the least you can do is post something other than the all to generic “Great!” or “Good job!” or “I agree!”  Really, that’s all you got?

So go out there and make me proud bloggers, go post some panache-y paragraphs!!!

Random post for the day

This post totally does not pertain to any of my topics, but I wanted to share my randomness with you all.

Does anyone else think of Carlton dancing (from Fresh Prince of Bel-Air) when they hear the B.o.B. “Magic in me” song?

Try watching this video on mute:

(Props to “cybercobra” for making and/or posting this compilation!)

at the same time as this video’s song is playing in the background:

I don’t own or have rights to any of this, just searched them on you tube.

Enjoy and feel free to comment!!! 🙂
